Let's see what our class are up to!
Happy Birthday Matthew!
Matthew celebrated his 9th birthday at home with his family and they had a lovely day. He missed having his friends and family over for it but he got a few drive-by birthday wishes from his friends which cheered him up! Matthew got some cool presents That cake looks incredible Matthew, I'm sure it tasted delicious. I hope you had a wonderful day, Happy Birthday from myself and all in the Daisies! :)
Hi everyone! - Milly and Molly
Milly and Molly wanted to let everyone know about the gorgeous rock trail on the Curragh Plains. Children and adults are invited to collect rocks on your walk, take them home and wash them, paint them using bright colours and add them to the trail. Molly added her rocks to the trail. They look amazing!! Such a lovely idea girls, thanks so much for letting us know! :)
Kristine is working hard at home
Kristine is enjoying looking at everyone's photos on the blog and likes seeing what all of her new friends are doing. She is busy with her work at home and is enjoying the problem solving challenges. She had fun looking for things that weigh more than, less than and are equal to 1kg. She has also been working hard at Gaeilge and has done a great job at drawing and labelling her picture. Kristine likes to write stories in her free time and has also created a rules poster for playing with lego and play-doh. I love the drawing you made of yourself as a lego figure! :)
Thanks for keeping us updated Kristine!

Hi everyone, from Maisie
Maisie has been very busy at home this week and has been a great help looking after her baby brother with Sadie. They even helped to give him his first bath during the week and took him for a short walk so mam could have a little rest. Maisie said that Archie is the best little brother in the whole world and she loves watching him grow every day. Well done girls, Archie is very lucky to have big sisters that love him so much! Maisie enjoyed the maths activity this week and found lots of items that weighed more and less than 1kg. I must say, I love your tiara Maisie! :) Maisie and Sadie love going cycling every day with their dad. They decided to go to Linear Park one evening to see if they could spot any bats leaving their homes in the trees. Luckily, they spotted one just as they were going home and also saw a heron looking for his supper in the lake. Maisie said to say hello to everyone and she is checking the blog to see all of your pictures and to keep up with everyone's news! Thanks for telling us your news Maisie! :)
Alfie.... look behind you!!!
Alfie is loving the good weather at the moment as is spending as much time as possible outside. He is keeping active by going cycling and playing football. He has also been keeping up with his work and has been very helpful at home looking after the cows and painting the fence. Alfie said he misses everyone but loves to check the class blog to see what you are all up to!
Thanks Alfie, keep us updated! :)
Thanks Alfie, keep us updated! :)
Hello to all my friends, from Sweta!
Sweta wanted to show her drawing to the class. She really misses her friends but she is really enjoying checking the blog and seeing what everyone is doing. Sweta is doing a fantastic job of keeping up with all her work from home. That is a wonderful drawing Sweta, I'm sure you have many other drawings like it at home. Everyone from the Daisies misses you too and can't wait to see you again! Thanks for showing us your lovely picture and make sure to keep us updated with your activities at home! :)
Chef Katie is baking again
Katie is continuing to practice her baking skills at home. This time she made yummy scones. Well done Katie, I'd say they were delicious! She also made a chill out den from a tent in her garden. Whenever she wants to relax and play games on her ipad or read a book, she can escape to her secret den. Great idea, I might even make a den in my own garden! Thanks for telling us your news Katie! :)
Update from Lexi!
Lexi is also spending lots of time outside in the sunshine and has even made a garden for her garden fairy. Her name is Lola and and reads and replies to the letters that Lexi leaves for her each day. How exciting! Tell Lola that all the Daisies said hi! :) For her act of kindness this week, Lexi made dinner and helped to tidy up afterwards. Well done! She has also been having fun drawing with chalk outside, helping with her little sister Darcy and going for walks. She even collected some daisies on her walk! Lexi did a fantastic job on the 'Tinfoil Boat Challenge' this week. She tried out 2 different shapes for her boats and found that one shape worked better than the other and held alot more coins. Super work Lexi, thanks for telling us all your news!
Yacouba the Pokemon Master
Yacouba is keeping up to date with all the latest Pokémon information and tips. We have a few Pokémon fans in the class who will recognise this book! He has had a busy week at home and has been doing lots of activities. He was very creative when he figured out the answer to Tuesday's maths problem by using numbers he could move around himself. Great idea Yacouba, there are lots of ways to help you solve problems! He learned more about weight and items that weigh more and less than 1kg. For his comic strip, Yacouba chose to retell the story of 'The Three Wishes'. Who else knows this story? He really enjoyed making his tinfoil boat and tested it using blocks - it held 12 blocks!! For his act of kindness, he cleaned his brother's toys away as well as his own and even sang a song for his youngest brother. That was a lovely thing to do Yacouba, well done. As you can see from the last photo, he is really missing school and his friends but he is making sure to keep busy and loves looking at everyone else's photos on the blog! Thanks for keeping us updated Yacouba! :)
