Congratulations to Lucy, Kristine, Sweta, Alfie and Noah who all received star of the week during the month of September. Maith sibh!

This year we celebrated our beginning of school year mass a little differently with everyone taking part through Zoom. 

In Third Class we use the Laptops every Friday evening. We learn how to type using Mavis Beacon, do research on the internet for our project work and how to complete tasks using Google Classroom.

Welcome back to all of the boys and girls in the Daisies after our extended break from school. I am thrilled to be your teacher this year and I'm looking forward to having a positive and fun filled year with you all. 

As you are all aware things are a little different this year and well done to everyone for maintaining the new routines and procedures in school. This year we are alternating between uniform and tracksuit daily. Our PE day is Monday so you can wear your tracksuit on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and uniform on Tuesdays and Thursdays. 

Our classroom is made up of groups/pods - Glas, Buí, Corcra, Oráiste, Gorm and Dearg. Each pod has a basket between two children to contain their books, copies and folders in. This reduces movement in the classroom for the children with collecting and switching between books for the different subject areas. 

It is fantastic to see everyone back in school and I'm looking forward to a great year ahead with the Daisies.
