Well done to all the children who ran for the student council. They worked so diligently in making slogans, posters and speeches for their campaign.
Competition was very tough and unfortunately we could only have one winner. Big congratulations to Molly Donoghue who was elected from our class for the student council. During Science Week we completed an experiment called "The Leak Proof Bag". We filled up plastic zip lock bags with water, sealed the bags and then the children stabbed their pencils through the bag until it pierced both sides.
Surprise, surprise, NO water leaked out!  Ní imithe uainn atá siad, ach imithe romhainn. They are not gone from us, but gone before us. In November we remember and pray for our loved ones who have gone before us and whose loss we feel. Each of our candles represent someone who we have lost very dearly to us and we would like to remember them in our thoughts and prayers.
