This month's stars were Bryan, Nella, Ruby and Rosaleen Behvaiour, attitude towards school life and productivity were still impeccable this month regardless of coming towards the end of the year.

On Wednesday last, we celebrated our Sports Day. We had such a wonderful day and really enjoyed ourselves. As we were divided up into teams, we really pulled together to cheer our teams on. 
At the end of the day it was hard to say who won as we all participated so well. However, there always has to be a winner and the Black Team came out in front on this occasion!
​Well done everyone! 

We trialed and tested a variety of different paper airplane designs over the last week to see which one was fastest or flew the farthest length. 
The names of the various templates were: The Classic Dart, The Arrow, The Raptor, The Condor and The Delta.
We discussed the different shapes they all had and what they might be good for. 
Peadar's airplane "The Classic Dart" went the farthest and Elijah's airplane "The Delta" stayed up the longest when we tested them outside. 

Gemma, Elijah and Dusan all shone brightly over the month of May. They all worked diligently in our class and were well deserving of the title Star of the Week.

Our brains were put to the test on Wednesday, as we were given the task of planning and creating a catapult using minimal materials. We were given 10 lollipop sticks, 10 elastic bands and a spoon to make our catapults with little to no help. 
The different plans and designs were magnificent. Check out the pictures to see all of our creations. 
We even had a little competition in the end to shoot a cotton ball into a target bin using our catapults. We had so much fun all while learning about potential energy and kinetic energy!
