Well done to all the boys and girls for their hard work on creating their own versions of Santa's sleigh. We had some very interesting and modern looking sleigh designs as well as traditional sleigh designs. Everyone did a fantastic job!
It might be Panto Day in Scoil na Naomh Uilig, but even so 2nd class are determined that we won't spend the whole day in our seats. So we've set a fun challenge for the SNU Advent Calendar with this dance. We had so much fun making this video for you and we hope you have fun trying out this dance with us! Well done Liam for being so generous, hardworking and helpful in school this week Keep up the good work!
This week we are learning about the different spellings of the /igh/ sound. Try to spot some of these spellings of this sound in your readers this week. We are learning about being generous and kind. Generosity is being willing to give and share what you have with others. You can be generous with your time, things or talents. Generous people want to help those in need and are always willing to share or help. When we are generous we don’t expect anything in return. Here are two stories that explore this value. We are working hard in maths learning about place value. We are now learning about hundreds, tens and units.
Well done to Lucy for always showing respect towards others, for your excellent efforts in your work and for working hard on your handwriting.
Our value of the week is respect. Respect means that we care enough to consider how our words and actions affect others. It is very important to treat other the people the same way we want to be treated. We worked very hard on our reindeer portraits. We followed drawing directions very carefully to draw them and painted them. When we were finished we added the snow and some glitter. They turned out amazing. We have also been busy working on Christmas acrostic poems.
