Aistear
One of our favourite times of the day in The Cherry Blossoms is when we do Aistear! Aistear is learning through play and we have a different theme every few weeks.
So far this year our themes have been:
-The Clothes Shop
-The Witches' Cave
-The Camp Site
This week our new theme is the Toy Hospital and it might be our favourite theme yet!!
During Aistear we do many different activities and each day, each groups gets a chance to do a different activity.
We do lots of different activities such as role play, small world play, cutting and pasting, play dough, sand and water play, jig saws, junk art and much more.
Aistear helps us with areas such as oral language, social skills and problem solving.
Check out the pictures below of our work on the Toy Hospital.

Fine Motor Skills Stations
We have been working very hard since we started school on the 30th of August. We have learnt lots of new things.
We have been doing lots of work on our fine motor skills. Our fine motor skills help us to hold a pencil, use a scissors and lots more!
We use stations to help us practise our fine motor skills. We use playdough, sand, whiteboards and chalk boards in our stations. We have practised drawing straight lines, wavy lines, lines going down and zig-zag lines. We love doing stations!
