We have done lots of fun activities this week for Seachtain na Gaeilge. The last one was our fashion show this morning! We loved eating lots of fruit and vegetables as part of the Food Dudes programme. We are going to make a big effort to keep it up!
The Strawberries are very excited to have started 2nd Class in Room 20! This morning was spent celebrating our Grandparents. We had a lovely pray service in the hall and followed up with a visit from our grandparents to our class. We read a poem and coloured it in together. Here are some of the memories made today.
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all the little elves in Room 12. Looking forward to hearing all about your holidays in January.
The children had a choice to make a model of their own classroom or playground using a shoebox. Here is some of the fun we had making them.
Happy Halloween to all in Room 12. Hope you all have a great time celebrating Halloween and have a lovely mid-term!
John Doran visited our school and we loved seeing all the wonderful things that he makes. John showed us how to make a baseball bat out of a block of wood. We are each going to get a turn to take the bat home and record what we did. Take a look at all the fun we had
Each child prepared a leaf to place on the tree as sign that all of the children in the class belong together.
Our three Senior Infant classes took part in a Shared Reading Programme with their parents and grandparents before Easter. The children got to share their reading books with the parents/grandparents in the beautiful school library. We are very grateful to all the parents and grandparents who volunteered their time to help the children. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience and read lots of lovely books.
