The three 4th classes enjoyed a fantastic trip to the RDS on the 4th of May to attend the Science Blast event. We had all worked so hard and diligently in preparation for the big day.
The Strawberries designed, tested and tallied all of our results for our project "Is Yawning Contagious". Our scientific investigations did indeed show that yawning is contagious. What we always thought was proved!
On the day, the boys and girls were divided up into teams to stay and man our post. As people milled around we explained to them how we carried out our investigation, retrieved our results and displayed them We had so many people yawning by the end of the day. Kyle, Caelan and Olivia were there to explain it to the judges, who were very impressed. Overall, all of the children showed great workmanship and collaboration.
As well as presenting our project we also enjoyed all the rest the exhibition had to offer. We explored for the day and visited many other schools' stalls, some which were really interactive and fun. We also got to see two science shows 'Circus Science' and 'Invisible Worlds'.
What a long day we put down, but it was well worth it.
