Enda is Star of the Week in The Poppies this week and it's very well deserved. Well done Enda! Keep up the great work! :) As today was the last day reading our lovely book Elmer, we had some fun for art! We got plain white t-shirts and created our own patchwork colourful designs like the elephants do at the end of the book to celebrate difference. What a SUPER job we did! Our corridor is so bright and cheerful with our Elmer masks and t-shirts on display! We'll be modelling our t-shirts soon!! :) We baked buns today and used raisins to put our initials on them. We had to measure all the ingredients and make sure they were mixed together properly. They were delicious when they came out of the oven! Mmmmm!
We had lots of fun with beanbags for PE today. We had to balance them on our hands and then on our head, we had to catch them and we practiced throwing and catching with partners. We decorated Elmer masks at activity time today. We cut out the masks and then used small pieces of crepe paper and scrunched them up and stuck them on the mask. We made them patchwork and colourful just like Elmer and we will hold them up when we are reading the story this week. Don't they look great!
Sticking to our theme of myself, we made pasta portraits!
They look super hanging outside our classroom but hopefully no one passing by will take a nibble out of them! :) |
