We made the most of our last few weeks in Junior Infants and made sure to squeeze in lots of fun!

We had our Rainbow Day earlier this month and had a great time playing outside with chalk and bubbles in our beautiful rainbow outfits 🌈 

We also did a fascinating Walking Water science experiment, learned all about 3D shapes and built our own cubes from marshmallows and matchsticks.

As part of our summer theme, we played in our own pretend ice cream parlour, did lots of ice cream art and even had a special ice cream treat to top it all off! 🍦😍

Here is a snapshot of some of the fun we have had in May in Junior Infants, when we became explorers and learned all about life in the Jungle 🐯🐍
We also took part in our very first Sports Day, which included lots of sunshine, dance breaks, games, and a picnic with our teddy bears to end the day! ☀️🐻

We've been learning all about the Restaurant in Junior Infants this month, working hard as chefs, waiters and customers at our role play station, planning and constructing fabulous restaurants, and designing our very own delicious 'dish of the day'! 🍝
We even drew some funny pizza characters🍕

We had great fun today in the Apples on our last day before the Easter holidays 🐣

We have been learning all about the farm this month, so we decided to try and make our very own butter from scratch. We took turns to shake a jar of cream - we saw it turn into whipped cream first, and eventually after lots of shaking it turned into buttermilk & a big ball of butter! We tasted some on a biscuit and it was delicious! ☺️

We even managed to squeeze in a little Easter popcorn party before home-time after we earned all 6 of our bunny tails during the week for doing loads of super work 🌟🐰

Some of the boys and girls in the Apples went missing last Thursday and were replaced by a few of our favourite book characters! See if you can spot anyone familiar...

What a lovely lead into Christmas we are having in Room 3!

• Santa came to visit today! He asked us all to do one thing this Christmas 'BE HAPPY'. 
• The children enjoyed a hot chocolate today with mini marshmallows! 
• We all enjoyed the Panto: 'Oh yes we did!!!'
• The children love to settle and relax to do some work too.

All the boys and girls in the Apples have been busy learning their Christmas songs and poems. Everyone here, in the Apples and SNU wish you and your family a lovely and safe Christmas.
