Semi-Finalists 2023

​16th January
Congratulations to Ms. Scanlon and our senior girls basketballers who reached the semi-final stage of Division 1 for the first time in SNU’s history. The girls played the first leg of the semi-final stage this week and while they met tough opponents in Scoil Bhríde, Kill, they showed wonderful team spirit and resilience. The second leg will take place on Friday 27th January. Keep up the great efforts girls.

Well done to our boys and girls basketball teams who played St Brigid's in Kildare. Both teams put in a great performance. Well done to the girls team who won!

​​Congratulations to both our senior girls and boys who competed in their first basketball matches of the season. Both teams represented our school beautifully, with our boys coming away with a win in the dying seconds of the game, while our girls were narrowly beaten on this occasion. Thank you and well done to all involved. 

Below are some of the members of our Basketball team from 5th and 6th class. It is Scoil na Naomh Uilig's first year competing in the basketball league and we are making great progress. Both the boys team and the girls team are through to the semi finals. The girls will play Gaelscoil Chill Dara while the boys will play Castledermot. Best of luck!
