The last three days have been busy. Have a look at all the amazing items we made! Last week as part of our home/school work, everyone was asked to write an email to Ms Scanlon to update her on all the activities. Here is a little snippet of what people have been up to:
Alex has been playing lots of football and basketball outside, as well as riding his bike. He also has been playing on his Xbox. Caelan has been playing Gaelic, soccer and swing-ball at home. He cannot wait until sports are back on, but until then is bringing his football to the Curragh. He has also been video calling some of his friends. Callum D has been busy painting the garden shed with his parents and has been going on lots of cycles. Ciara celebrated her 11th birthday on the 1st of June. She has been keeping really active at home but is missing her sport. She plays Bingo in her estate every Saturday and even won some money! Kyle has been busy looking after his baby sister. We are motoring on and continuing to work our hardest in the Strawberries. We have learnt about decimals in Maths, Communication in SESE and recapping on balances in PE. We also took some inspiration from Picasso and his creation "Guernica" to create some very unusual art this week. Check it all out in the slideshow below! Well done everyone! The pupils in the Strawberries are still continuing to produce amazing work. This week we created projects on Scandinavia. All of which are extremely informative. Some students chose to create them on paper, while others created them using PowerPoint. The children practiced their multiplication and division and computed some tricky money problems. We wrote brilliant irish sentences. Scríobhamar abairtí iontach i nGaeilge. We also did some Aboriginal Artwork inspired by the Aboriginal People in Australia Check out some of our amazing work. With another week of online learning completed, the pupils in our class have continued with their amazing work ethic.
This week we focused on relearning our Mé Féin Abairtí i nGaeilge, learned how to add and subtract time and worked on our narrative writing. As we learnt about Nano Nagle and the amazing work she did for the poor people in Ireland in the 1700s we also looked at the many wonderful Irish heroes that are working on the front line at the moment. The children designed wonderful art pieces for Art competitions of their choosing, the Sligo IT draw an Irish animal, person or place on the Wild Atlantic Way and Draw Our Heroes. Some of the children have received their pen licenses. It's amazing how hard and diligently everyone is working! Another week down and another week full of hard work from the pupils in the Strawberries. This week investigated 3D shapes, learned about Cúchulainn from Irish mythology and wrote our own very persuasive writing pieces. Comh maith le sin, scríobhamar abairtí íontacha i nGaeilge. Bhíomar an-ghnóthach. Tá an caighdeán an-ard in ár rang. |
