Unfortunately our plans for a big video featuring all of the junior classes singing our favourite Christmas medley had to be abandoned when the Department of Education decided that indoor singing was not permitted this year. Fortunately for the Cherry Blossoms, we had already recorded our contribution for the video before this announcement so we're sharing it with you here. We hope you enjoy our song! Well done Cara! You are our Star of the Week because you approach all tasks with enthusiasm, you are kind and patient with those around you. Finally, you give 100% to everything you do. Keep up the great work.
Congratulations to Adam L our Star of the Week this week. Adam has proved that he can work independently without distracting others. He is kind towards others in our class and always has a welcoming smile on his face.
Congratulations Sophia! You are our Star of the Week for showing great social skills on yard, always trying your best in school and designing a super boat last week during Science week.
We had lots of fun creating some penguin art. We painted the background with our own choice of colours. Then using coloured card we cut out the different shapes needed to make a penguin. We then decorated the penguin with a hat and scarf. Lastly we sprinkled white paint over the page to give a snow effect.
This week we celebrated Friendship Week. We talked about what makes a good friend. Some of the key traits to being a good friend are loyalty, sharing, kindness, including others, support, helping others, trust, being fair and not judging others.
Congratulations Anna! You are our Star of the Week due to your excellent behaviour in school, your kindness towards others and your enthusiasm for everything we do.
We created some Cinquain Poems which are very simple and enjoyable to write. These poems are written on the theme of Winter.
This week we celebrated Science week by conducting a range of experiments in our classroom. We explored how water travels using cups of water, tissue and food colouring. We developed our coding skills using the Beebots, a big thanks to Ms O' Lone for leading this. We explored the concept of sinking and floating while also having great fun engineering our own boat from tin foil. This was a great week full of new discoveries. |
