We had a fantastic time on our school tour to Lilliput Adventure Centre. There was loads of fun things to do such as Archery, Canoeing and Capture the flag but the highlight was definitely the bog hopping. Take a look at the photos from our day out below.
Ourselves and The Daffodils were invited to the open day at the Curragh Racecourse on 13th April. We were brought to a number of different stations where we learned a lot of interesting facts on what exactly is involved in getting ready for a race day. We met a horse trainer, a jockey, their valet and a farrier, who has the tough task of making the horse-shoes. We were presented with one to take back to our classroom. We had a fantastic day out and thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Take a look at some of our photographs from the day below.
Over the last number of weeks we have been working very hard on our Fairy Houses. Joe gave us about the many myths that are associated with fairies. He then showed us some examples that he made himself. We then set about making our own. It was tough work but interesting work and with the help of Joe we were very happy with the end product. We used a number of different materials such as clay, tree bark, moss, string, twigs, paint to name but a few. Take a look at our slideshow and see for yourself.
