Bird Feeders

With Winter closing in, we in Room 43 felt it was time to start thinking of all the little birdies who decide to stick around these parts for these cold months, and how we can help them. What started as a simple enough task to make little feeders with lollipop sticks, became a much more substantial and amazing project, as our resident craftsman extraordinaire Joe very kindly offered us his help. Over the course of a few weeks, Joe and the pupils of Room 43 created the most fabulous and sustainable feeders with the use of glue guns, varnish and other materials. Each group of children created their own design and as you can see from the gallery below, we will have some lucky and well fed little birdies flocking to Scoil Na Naomh Uilig for a feast!!
