Great fun was had in Rm 43 this week when we decided as part of a STEM project to construct a Theme Park for Ants! We used paper and card to create bends, folds and lots of designs. The children also enjoyed giving their Theme Park a name - Some very scary ones in the mix!!

We have had a really exciting few weeks here in Room 43. Teacher wrote into RTÉ to showcase one of the gratitude letters that our class had written to his Grandmother whom he missed during the lockdown. Bradley Morrisey's letter was beautifully written, deeply moving and beyond his years in terms of the words he used. RTÉ felt it deserved much more recognition and asked if they could come to Newbridge, to our room and interview Bradley, his Grandmother and the class!!! Mícheál Ó Scannaill and his camera crew arrived a few weeks later and you can check out the link to the segment and the photos below!! We were so very proud of our moment on live National TV. The clip went viral on the news website and was viewed across the globe by tens of thousands of people! A super experience for 5th class and one which we will never forget!
