Hello to all the Snowdrops!

You have all been busy bees again this week! Ms. Earley is so proud of you all for doing your work, staying so active and for always having your beautiful smiles on your faces!

It was another busy week for birthdays in our class too! Happy Birthday to Cíara! Happy Birthday to Roman! Happy Birthday to Haripranav!

This was week 2 of writing out your own news in cursive writing! Well, all I can say is you are fantastic! I see some lovely tracing, writing it in a copy all on your own and writing it on little whiteboards! Brilliant! Keep trying, keep practising and it will get easier for you. Remember that you will be doing lots of more work and practice on it when you go into Senior Infants!

Our theme this week was The Classroom! I know it was probably a little difficult too as you all miss school, your classroom and friends so much. However, it looks like everyone really enjoyed doing all the lovely activities around it! Some children set up a classroom at home with their brothers and sisters! I got beautiful drawings of our classroom which had some super details in them! Ms. Earley was really impressed with them!

You have all been busy doing other exciting things too! Sofia cycled 5km on her new green bike! Eoghan spent lots of time making up his new lego set! Chloe had a sleepover in her sister’s room and baked scones! Conor helped celebrate his little sister’s birthday! Roman got lots of new toys for his birthday! Kevinas has been keeping his bicycle really clean! Cíara has been busy writing lots of words for her sounds! Iga has been busy helping her mammy look after her beautiful new baby sister Veronica!

​​Well done to the boys and girls in The Snowdrops who had another busy and fun week at home!
Our theme this week was music! We learnt about the orchestra and musical instruments. Some children even made their own instruments!
Mrs. Earley is so proud of us with our super progress in our handwriting! This week we learnt how to write the letter ‘b’ and we even started writing out our news in cursive handwriting.
We all enjoyed reading ‘Tiger’s Family’ and ‘Top Dog’ books on the Oxford Owl Reading website and practiced our tricky words! In maths we revised the number 5 and made brilliant sets of 5 when we were out and about! We also learnt about capacity which is a great fun topic!
It was an extra special week for 2 of our class buddies this week! Happy Birthday to Sofia! Happy Birthday to Haley!  
Even though we were busy doing lots of school work, we did lots of other fun things too! Some of us dressed up, painted butterflies and washed our bicycle! Most of us made the most of the beautiful sunshine and had fun in the paddling pool, relaxed in the sun and made yummy fruit lollies to cool them down!
Keep up the good work boys and girls! You are all doing super! Until the next time stay safe, keep active and keep smiling!

Hi all!

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter holiday! I am sure you all got lovely chocolate treats for Easter!!! You really deserved them!

Well done to all the wonderful boys and girls in The Snowdrops! You have all been so busy trying and working so hard at home in April! What an action-packed month it was for you all! You were learning all about: The Bakery, The Italian Restaurant, Healthy meals and Easter!

Everyone took good advantage of the beautiful sunshine by doing lots and lots of fun activities outside! I saw children on scooters, bikes, trampolines, playing football and lots of jumping jacks too!!! Wow! You really deserved your ‘Active School’s Week’ certificate for being so active and keeping fit!

Remember your teacher is so proud of you and misses you so much!

Stay at home, stay safe and give a big ‘thank you’ hug to your mam, dad and whoever is helping you at home!
