The Poppies
June
The Poppies have ended the 2022-2023 school year with a month full of fun and happy memories. Sports Day, a birthday party, school tour, milkshake party, a walk to the shop, board games and even our very own music festival! Thanks to the wonderful Poppies boys for a great year! We hope you all have a brilliant summer!
May
May was a lovely month in the Poppies. They continued to build relationships and communication, took part in whole-school activities during wellbeing week and worked on the themes of Transport and Community.
April
This month the Poppies settled back well after the Easter holidays and have been working hard. They cooked some tasty treats, made bird feeders and went on a nature walk to spot birds around the school.
March
March was a very busy month for the Poppies. They had lots of fun celebrating World Book Day, Mother's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Easter and two birthdays! They learned about Irish legends, investigated magnetism and cooked a variety of interesting dishes!
February
In February the Poppies enjoyed learning all about St. Brigid, St. Valentine's Day and Pancake Tuesday!
January
Happy New Year! This month we were learning about People at Work and Houses and Homes.
December
November in the Poppies
The Poppies learned about 'Clothes' and 'Weather' in November. We decorated the room for Christmas and we are really enjoying the music workshops with Don Nea.
October- Fun in the Poppies
The Poppies have had a great month settling back into school and welcoming their new pupils. They've had lots of fun baking, doing science experiments, painting and coding with the Beebots.
