We had great fun carving a pumpkin for Hallowe'en. We talked about the textures of the pumpkin and what senses we used during the carving. We did procedural writing on how to carve a pumpkin too. The inside of the pumpkin felt a bit slimy and sticky! :) We did Spooktacular Hallowe'en art today. We really enjoyed creating haunted house silhouettes. They look super outside our classroom.
We are learning about data in maths so today we created our own barcharts. We had to gather the information that we needed and then represent it on a barchart. It was lots of fun and we learned how easy it is to create and read barcharts.
Today we learned about George Seurat who created Pointillism. This involves creating a painting using tiny coloured dots. We made our own Pointillism pictures of Autumn trees.
We have been practising throwing and catching in PE. We have used beanbags, small balls and bigger balls. We had great fun having races against each other.
