Oh we had great fun today learning about Jackson Pollock and creating our own abstract action art using drip painting. Since Pollock spread his canvas on the floor to create a painting, Ms Corbally spread a table cloth on the floor at the back of the room and we created our paintings there. We really enjoyed it and the paintings look great on the wall outside our classroom.
We had so much fun in the playground today. We earn minutes towards Golden Time every day for working hard and following the rules and this week we earned 20 minutes in the playground. We have been talking all about ourselves in class for the past fortnight. We have learned lots of interesting things about each other.
We created Shape Me pictures using different shapes and coloured card. We also made a game of Guess Who. We wrote facts about ourselves and other children and staff in the school have to see if they can guess which person in our class it is. They check if they are right by lifting the card and seeing our photos. The characters from Inside Out are helping us to learn all about our emotions and feelings and different names for each emotion.
P.E. day for Ms. Corbally’s 2nd class will be Tuesday. The children will be required to wear their school tracksuits with a plain white polo t-shirt and plain runners to school every Tuesday.
Children may also wear their school tracksuits on Mondays. |
