This week in The Lilacs we had great fun working with coding for EU Coding week. 
The children got to execute simple coding instructions using the Beebots in various different stations. They had to remember the sequencing of the code to make sure the Beebots would complete the commands set out by them, it was tricky at first to grasp but once the children got to practice they loved learning about coding through the games.
Thank you to Ms. O'Lone and Mr. O'Sullivan for facilitating the lesson too, the kids thoroughly enjoyed learning all about coding.

The children had great fun working in teams for our STEM activity. They were given the instruction that they must create the longest chain possible with only one sheet of paper, scissor and a glue stick.
They had to work as a team and come up with a technique to make theirs the longest possible.
It was great fun and the children loved the challenge.

Well done to all the stars of the week, who were shining examples of hard workers both in class and out in the school community. Congratulations to Megan, Gavin, Luke, Dominik and Esther.
