Here in Room 8 we have three classroom pets - Mario, Bunny and Sticky. These are our stick insect friends! We give them ivy and bramble to eat and a few drops of water every few days.

We had lots of fun during our theme of construction. Lots of constructions were built using sand, blocks, bricks and natural materials. We learned about many different types of houses (bungalows, detached, semi-detached and terraced houses) and about the various parts of a house (roof, windows, bricks, chimneys). 
During our oral language lessons we took part in various activities based on 'The D.I.Y. Store' and now we are all experts in D.I.Y!

We had lots of fun in October, particularly with our Halloween Aistear activities and Witch Walk! 

It was Rainbow day today in school. We had so much fun painting, dancing, blowing bubbles, drawing with chalk, playing games, doing yoga and lots lots more! We wish everyday was Rainbow day!! 

We were learning about the Farm during Aistear and we made our own butter by shaking cream in a big jar! We all had a go at shaking it while we sang the song “Come butter come”. The cream turned to butter and the liquid that was left was called buttermilk! 
We really enjoyed tasting our butter spread onto biscuits. It was yummy! 

All of the boys and girls in the Dandelions class in Room 1 would like to wish their parents, family and friends a very Merry Christmas. We hope you all have a joyful and peaceful Christmas. 

We are in Junior Infants and our classroom is Room 1.
Our teachers are Ms.McCormack and Ms. Cullinan.
We have had a great time this month doing lots of activities in class and getting to know our friends.

October 2020
We had some Halloween Fun in Room 1. We had some spooky witches, some superheroes and some film stars visit our classroom. Lots of fun and smiles.
