Happy May Day to all the Daisies from Yacouba
Yacouba really enjoyed celebrating the start of the summer with his family. While he was decorating his May Bush, he found a baby snail and made sure to keep it safe and put it back where he found it afterwards. Yacouba also had a very busy Active week, fully of cycling, relay races, Cosmic Yoga and Go Noodle. Great to see so much exercise being done at home!
Thanks Yacouba, Happy May Day!

Sun is shining outside.
Umbrellas are boring at home.
My ice-cream is melting.
My brothers are playing on the beach.
Enjoy building sandcastles!
Ready,steady, fun!

Happy May Day everyone from Lucy!
Lucy had a busy week at home and did a fantastic job of decorating her yukka tree for May Day. I love the bright colours and all the decorations. She also wrote a lovely poem and found out some very interesting facts about May Day traditions.
Super work Lucy, Happy May Day!

May Day poem by Lucy
It's May Day eve
and what else do we have to achieve?
We decorated our May bush
in a little bit of a rush.
We put up our pole
with help from a mole,
to protect our homes
from fairies and gnomes.
and what else do we have to achieve?
We decorated our May bush
in a little bit of a rush.
We put up our pole
with help from a mole,
to protect our homes
from fairies and gnomes.
Happy May Day from Lexi
Lexi really enjoyed Active Week at home and did lots of activities to build up her exercise during the week. She also enjoyed finding out about May Day traditions and wrote a summer poem to celebrate Poetry Day and the start of the summer. Have a look at her May poster she designed and her May Bush that she decorated with her dog Olaf!

Summer is here
Up in the sky, the sun will shine
Making sandcastles so high
Making the water splash
Everybody eating ice-cream
Relaxing on a warm day together

Happy May Day from Kristine
Check out the parachute Kristine made at home. She has also been very busy keeping up with her work this week and has drawn some lovely pictures with labels. Kristine has also had a good idea of keeping a diary at home to record her thoughts and memories. Great idea, you can look back on it in years to come!
Well done and Happy May Day Kristine!

Happy May Day from Katie!
Chef Katie is busy at home baking and making yummy treats to eat. Looks delicious! I'm sure all those Easter eggs and chocolates were put to good use! Katie also enjoyed celebrating May Day today. Hopefully we get lots of sunshine over the weekend from all the decorating our class have been doing to celebrate the start of summer!
