For art this week, we explored light and shade using chalk. Our inspiration for the art came from the story 'Snowmen at Night'.
The finished pieces look amazing!

We are exploring the value of 'growth mindset', which is one of our most important values as it helps us to develop resilience and a positive attitude. Having a growth mindset means believing that our brains can grow stronger and that we can achieve our goals, even if it will take some time and practice, with lots of mistakes and learning along the way. Here are two stories we explored in school to show a growth mindset. As it was a very wet and blustery day today, we focused on developing our fine motor skills as well as using our imagination during science week.
Well done Fabian for good behaviour and manners in class, for having a positive attitude towards challenges and for putting 100% effort into your work.
We had alot of fun this week learning about castles and the different names for each part. We also learned about how castles were attacked in different ways, including through the use of a catapult. Our challenge was to design and make our own catapult using lollipop sticks and elastic bands. We had a great time testing out our catapults in class.
Well done Liliana for a fantastic improvement in your handwriting, for excellent behaviour and wonderful manners.
