Christmas in Scoil na Naomh Uilig
Christmas traditionally marks a very special time for us in Scoil na Naomh Uilig. As a school community we celebrate with some fun-filled activities for all, such as Christmas Check-ins, a Carol Service, Christmas Assembly with a Hamper Raffle, a Panto Day and so much more.
The Advent Wreath also features in our weekly Assembly, which symbolises our journey through the season of Advent and reminds our pupils and staff to focus on Hope, Peace, Love and Joy in preparation for Christmas Day.
Please see below a snap shot of our Christmas Celebrations for 2021 - we hope you enjoy!

Advent calendar of Check-in QUESTIONS
Our Student Council members announced our daily check-in questions over the intercom for the whole school to answer and talk about. What a lovely way to focus on wellbeing during such a busy time of the year.
Santa's Sleigh Visit
There was huge excitement on 3rd December as we welcomed a very special visitor to our school. We were delighted to see Santa on his journey to visit the wonderful boys and girls in Temple Street Children's Hospital.
Our pupils marked Santa's visit by lining the school grounds to wave hello as he passed by with Rudolph on his sleigh. Members of our Student Council made sure to present Santa with the very generous donations from the community of SNU which we know will be put to great use in Temple Street.
Santa was also thrilled to be presented with a beautiful acrostic 'Temple Street' poem written by one of our 4th Class pupils, Isabelle. What a joyous occasion for us all!

Santa and Mrs Claus Visit
Many thanks to Santa and Mrs. Claus for taking time away from their busy preparations to come and say hello. Thank you also to our PA for some delicious treats to mark this special visit.
The Lilacs Christmas Podcast
The Lilacs had a great time planning, recording and editing their Christmas podcast. They did a fantastic job and hope you enjoy listening to it.
The Hollies Christmas Podcast
The Hollies were very busy on Tuesday afternoon making a special Christmas podcast episode. They planned the episode, practiced and recorded what they wanted to say, and edited the audio to have everything in the podcast just they way they wanted it. Well done to all of these wonderful students.
