We are striving to achieve our first Active School Flag. The Active School Flag (ASF) is awarded to schools that strive to achieve a physically educated and physically active school community. The process aims to get more schools, more active, more often. You may notice many new initiatives taking place throughout the school this year. Please encourage your child to take part in extra curricular activities and other events taking place.
We would like to introduce you to our Active Schools Committee.
The members are Kelvin, Tommy, Grace, Aoife, Ciara and Callum.
From next Monday the members of the committee will be leading our líne exercises after sos and lunch.
Active School Week SNU
The Boys and Girls in SNU took part in Active School week from the 18th to the 26th of June. It was a huge success. Many children took part in the Student Council Challenge and as a school we nearly reached 1000 KM which is as far as Luxembourg.
Active Home Week
On Thursday, some of our parents came in to try save a few penalties from the children. The children had great fun scoring on their parents and won the bragging rights at home that evening.
Brian MCGROGAN FITNESS -WEDNESDAY
On Wednesday, boys and girls from Juniors to 6th took part in 'Moggy's' fitness class. The children really enjoyed the fun games Moggy played with them.
