Welcome back to a new school term and New Year. Best wishes to all for 2017. Thank you for your support during the past year and I hope we will all have a healthy, happy and fruitful 2017.
Can I remind you how important it is to have your children in school every day, unless they are sick. If your child is absent or needs to go home early, a note is required for the class teacher.
GENERAL PURPOSE FEE
Thank you to all who have paid the G.P. Fee. All fees are well overdue at this stage and anyone who has not paid this fee will receive a personal telephone call from myself shortly to discuss the outstanding monies.
There will be no swimming classes until after the mid-term break in February.
Confirmation will take place for pupils from 6th class on March 2nd at 12noon in the Dominican Church.
Basketball Training – will commence on Thursday next for 3rd & 4th classes from 2.30pm – 3.30pm. Children to be collected at 3.30 sharp.
Peace Proms Choir: Our school choir (3rd-6th class) will be taking part in a rehearsal workshop for the Peace Proms concert next Monday, 16th January. The rehearsal will take place in The National Show Centre, Swords during school hours. A bus will bring the children to and from the venue and we would ask that parents collect their children at 3.30pm on arrival back at the school. Children must wear their school uniform and bring a packed lunch. Please ensure you sign your child's permission slip in order to allow your child attend, and send it in to one of the choir teachers before tomorrow, Friday. Many thanks for your continued support.
Parents Association - Fundraising for school
A Table Quiz will take place on Friday 10th February in Sarsfields Clubhouse. Further details will follow in next week’s note.
If anyone has any unwanted gifts received over the holidays and wish to donate them as spot prizes please contact the Parents Association on firstname.lastname@example.org or the school office. Many thanks.
The School is always working with parents to ensure the safety of our pupils at all times. We would like to encourage parents/guardians to arrange for their children (especially those under 10 years of age), to be collected from school. All parents need to ensure that their children are not walking home alone. Similarly, please warn your children not to talk to strangers and be vigilant about their whereabouts at all times.
Thank you for your co-operation with the above.
Enrolments for September 2017
