April is autism awareness month, and blue is the colour of autism. To raise awareness and celebrate this, we are having a civvies day next Friday April 27th and are asking everyone to wear some blue clothing and bring a small donation to school which will be sent to Autism Ireland
Our Active School Week will commence on Monday 30th April – Friday 4th May. We hope to start our week with our Sports day on the Monday 30th April, weather permitting. Children are permitted to wear their tracksuit every day for our Active schools week. Children are encouraged to take part in our Active travel to school initiative. Where possible, if children can walk, cycle, scoot to school particularly during our Active Week. Our aim is to encourage all children to engage in 60 minutes of vigorous exercise per day, as recommended by the World Health Organisation. Children will also receive ‘Active Homework’ challenges that they will be expected to complete at home, where possible. Looking forward to a fun filled and enjoyable week.
Reminder to everyone that the current computer club is on week 2 next week. Waiting list for computer club in May will close at the end of next week, 27th April.
