Age appropriate viewing of You Tube/Netflix and other online material. I would like to urge all parents/guardians to ensure your child/children’s viewing of videos on You Tube and Netflix is age appropriate and their iPads/computers have parental controls. It has come to our notice that some children in the school are viewing material that is inappropriate for their age.
First Holy Communion
Congratulations and well done to the children in 2nd class who made their 1st Holy Communion last weekend.

**School will reopen after the summer holidays on Wednesday 30th August 2017!!***
Thank you for your co-operation with the above.
Over the summer, the school will purchase a set of iPads (with protective casing /chargers) for the junior classes, a set of laptops for the senior classes (with a laptop trolley / charger), as well as educational apps to supplement the delivery of the curriculum. All Learning Support teachers (SET) will also have iPads to assist children who are withdrawn for support. These resources will be timetabled and will only be used during the school day.
The BOM has decided to separate book rental from the GP fee. We are asking you to pay the book rental fee before the summer holidays. The GP fee makes up the balance of the €100 and must be paid before 15th September.
Book Rental Fee
The payment of the fee covers book rental, 24 hour insurance, school journal as well as the provision of laptops and iPads for the children. To facilitate the purchase of books and equipment, this fee will need to be paid before the end of the school year as follows: -
Junior Infants to 1st class (inclusive) €50
2nd class to 6th class €75.
Because so many books are bought by the school, every child benefits and the number of books that need to be purchased by families is greatly reduced.
The school office will remain open, up to and including 7th July. Online payment is available (details on school website). We also operate a “payment by installments” scheme to facilitate easy payments. Please contact the office to collect a form.
