Welcome back everyone and welcome on board to all our Junior Infants. I hope you all had a lovely summer and you are all well rested. We are all looking forward to a very happy school year working together “Uile le chéile”.
General Purpose Fees 2018/2019
Thank you to everyone who has paid. Please note that the G.P. Fee in our school also covers Book Rental. To facilitate the distribution of books for the Rental Scheme we would appreciate if you could pay the book rental portion of your General Purpose Fee immediately. Homework journals will be distributed on Friday 7th September and will only be given to those pupils that have the book rental portion of the fee paid, or those families that have committed to the Easy Payment Scheme which is available through the office. The balance of the fees must be paid in full by Friday 21st Sept 2018. Please note that we do not have any facility in the school office for debit/credit card payments.
Pupil Punctuality for School Year 2018/2019 - On time and every day
· Children are expected to arrive at school before 8.50am and line up with their classmates in the school yard, where the class teacher will collect the children at 8.50am.
· It is our school policy that if a child is late to school, arriving after 8.50am, the parents/guardians sign their child in at the school office where your child’s name, class teacher and time of arrival are recorded in the Late Book. Please ensure to send a note to your child’s class teacher.
· The roll is taken before 10am every morning and any children who arrive after that time will be marked absent.
School Trips / walks: Parents / Guardians, please note there may be occasions when classes may leave the school grounds to go on nature walks during the year and on supervised walks to the library or the Liffey Linear Park in the town.
Yard Supervision in the mornings - the school grounds are only supervised from 8.35am in the mornings. Please do not leave your children into the school before this time.
Reminder to pedestrians – please do not use the main gate to access the school in the mornings.
School Car Parking Issues
When dropping off children to the school in the morning, if driving please use the set-down area and do not alight from your car. Due to the growing number of staff in the school, the lower car park is needed for staff parking. At present some members of staff are unable to find a parking space in the mornings.
The set down area at the main front door is for parents of children with special needs who have a parking permit only.
Please ensure to put your child’s name on all Uniforms, Books, Lunch boxes, Sports gear etc
