St Patrick’s Day – School Closure
The School will be closed tomorrow for St Patrick’s day next week, and on Monday next 20th March 2017. Enjoy the break everyone!
General Purpose fee final payments need to be paid at this stage. I am in the process of phoning parents who are in arrears with this payment.
Mobile Phones: IMPORTANT Reminder that children will will not be permitted to bring mobile phones to school after Easter without prior agreement with the Principal including a meeting and signed agreement. In the meantime phones will be confiscated from any pupil using them inappropriately and/or during class times.
Kildare Children & Young People’s Services Committee will be running a Bereavement Community Response Talk in Newbridge Family Resource Centre on Tuesday next, 21st March at 7.30 pm in response to recent tragic deaths. Further information overleaf
Active Schools /Week Sports Day
Week commencing 3rd April we will be having an active schools week in the school and children will be required to wear their tracksuit all week
We will be having our annual Sports Day on Monday3rd April, weather permitting. More details to follow.
We also require parent volunteers for 1k walk for Thursday 6th April and to participate in fun activities such as a basketball shootout against the pupils. Any parents/guardians who are available on that day please send a note into the school for the attention of Ms Heavey.
The school will be trying to promote active travel during that week, walking, cycling, skipping etc to school on those mornings.
School Uniform Sale
The School Uniform Sale will take place in the school on Tuesday and Wednesday 9th and 10th of May from 12.00noon to 4pm. All items will be 10% less than the shop price on those dates.
CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE'S SERVICES COMMUNITY
We will be running a Bereavement Community Response Talk in Newbridge Family Resource Centre on Tuesday, 21st March at 7.30 pm in response to recent tragic deaths. The talk will last approximately 1.5 hours and is available to people aged 18 years and over.
The goals of the presentation are to provide the following:
1. Reassurance for you that there is support available.
2. Information on the Grieving Process.
3. Knowledge on how to respond and support children and young adults.
4. Information regarding things to be aware of and what to do if you are concerned.
Information on relevant supports and resources
