Pupil Numbers for classes in Scoil na Naomh Uilig for next year.
At the moment we are organising our classes & teachers for next year. Teaching jobs are sanctioned by the Department of Education based on the pupil population. It is very important to us and we work very hard to retain our pupils. Therefore, we would appreciate it if you could give us plenty of advance notice if you are planning to move from this area.
The “Buttercups” class are looking for Peppa Pig toys (characters, little house, playground etc) that you may be finished with. They need to be in good condition and working order. We are also looking for a children’s bike and a tricycle in good working order. We promise to give them a good home! Thank you!
JUNEFEST: The Linear Park in Newbridge is always beautifully adorned with hand-knitted pieces for Junefest each year. This year, Scoil na Naomh Uilig has a tree decorated with pieces handknitted by members of our school community. If you get an opportunity to take a walk there please keep an eye out for our tree!!!

****REMINDER- CHILD MENTAL HEALTH TALK THUSDAY 7TH JUNE @ 7-9.30PM IN SPORTS HALL
You are invited to an Information Talk called ‘Supporting parents to support their Child’s Mental Health & Wellbeing’ in our school sports hall on Thursday 7th June.
The talk will focus on the first important part of building relationships by exploring ways you can support your child to build a healthy relationship with him/herself. Parents who attend the session will:
1. Explore the factors that influence mental health and well being in their child.
2. Learn how to build and nurture resilience within their own child.
3. Be given tips on how best to support their child’s positive mental health and wellbeing.
This talk was originally advertised as ‘Supporting Friendships & Relationships’. However, this material (Relationships & Sexuality Education) will be covered in a subsequent information evening instead, during Term 1 next year.
This talk offers parents a great understanding of how to support your child’s mental health and wellbeing. It is an extremely worthwhile and we are very fortunate to have this opportunity for you in our school.
We would like to encourage as many parents as possible to attend. Please sign the slip below and return to your class teacher at your earliest convenience. Tea/ coffee will be provided on the night.
We look forward to welcoming you for a wonderful Information session.
