Dear Parents/Guardians
Swimming
Swimming tomorrow Friday 14th October for Ms Hennessy’s 4th class, Ms Mullally/Ms Doherty’s 6th class and Ms Keaveney’s 6th.

Traffic  Arrangements in the school
  1. During the hours of 10am to 1pm, it is NOT POSSIBLE to drive to the front door of the school. The area is being reserved for the pupils to play/cycle during their breaks. If you need to access the school during these hours please park elsewhere and walk into the school.
  2. Unless you have a parking permit do not park in the area in front of the school, either in the mornings or the afternoons.
  3. If you wish to use the drop-off facility for your child in the mornings, your child must be ready to exit the car at the left-hand side.  If it is not possible for them to exit at that side, you need to park somewhere else to safely help your child from your car.

Chewing gum on school premises
We have noticed an increase in the amount of chewing gum littering the school grounds. Please note that we enforce a very strict policy of no chewing gum on the school campus. We would appreciate it if you could comply with this and encourage your children not to bring chewing gum to the school.

Class Photo
A 2016/17 School calendar which includes a class photo is being sent home with each child today courtesy of the Parents’ Association.

Lions Club Fun Walk - Will take place Sunday 16th October @ 2.15 on the Curragh. Sponsorship Cards are available from the office.

Dear Parents/Guardians
Swimming
Swimming tomorrow Friday 30th Sept for Ms Hennessy’s 4th class, Ms Mullally/Ms Doherty’s 6th class and Ms Keaveney’s 6th.

NB: Safety on the way to school -  It has been brought to our attention that there has almost been a number of serious road safety incidents involving students from our school community on the railway bridge on the way to school in the mornings.  The traffic is very busy at this time of the morning and everyone is in a hurry. The safety of all our school community is important to us. Please instruct your child/children to take care while crossing the bridge and to follow the rules of the road contact the office.

Due to financial constraints the working hours of the office staff  has been reduced. To ease the pressure on their time please remember to give lunches, sports gear etc to your children before coming to school.

In addition it will raise awareness amongst the children of the benefits of recycling and reuse.
