Scoil na Naomh Uilig Open Evening
Thursday 27th September 5pm – 6pm
We would like to extend a warm welcome to all our pupils, with their parents, to a school Open Evening next Thursday 27th September. This is your chance to have a walk around the school, visit your classrooms and meet this year’s teachers. Class Newsletters will be given out with all the important information regarding your child’s year grouping.
As it is an open evening, there will be no class information meetings like previous years and teachers will not be able to discuss individual children but will be happy to meet you and answer any general questions you may have. It also means you are free to come to the school any time between 5pm and 6pm.
Just a note that for Health and Safety reasons, facilities like the sensory garden, playground, sensory rooms and small hall cannot be used by the children but you are welcome to look at them. Children must remain with parents at all times. If you cannot attend, please do not allow children to come to the school alone.
We look forward to seeing you all next Thursday.

Dear Parent/Guardian,
The Parents Association is running a clothing collection in conjunction with Bag2School Ireland.
By getting involved in our Bag2School collection you have an opportunity to sort through your wardrobes and donate any unwanted textiles in the bag provided.
This can include adult and children’s clothes, shoes (tied together please), hats, belts, bags and teddies.
Please NO Duvets, Pillows, Curtains, Bedding, Towels or End-Of-Life Clothing
This will raise funds for the school and The LauraLynn House will also receive an additional 10% from Bag2School. The LauraLynn House is the only Children’s Hospice in Ireland.
In addition it will raise awareness amongst the children of the benefits of recycling and reuse.
Bags will be distributed to each child on the week of the 1st October and should be brought back to school on Monday 8th October. Please try to fill as many bags as you can, don’t forget to ask grandparents, friends and neighbours to have a sort out as well! You can return clothes in any kind of bag.
Many thanks for helping us with this unique fundraising opportunity!
Scoil na Naomh Uilig Parents’ Association
Thank you for your co-operation with the above.
