The 3 key initiatives are:
·         Letting people know how and where they can volunteer through partnership with Volunteer Ireland and the network of volunteer centres. For information on volunteering, please visit https://www.volunteer.ie/
·         Providing community supports for older people by providing funding to ALONE for their crisis telephone support line and follow through practical supports. Older people who have questions or concerns can contact  the ALONE helpline on 0818 222 014 or the Senior helpline on 1800 804 591.
·         Providing an email helpdesk facility in the Department of Rural and Community Development to assist smaller community groups with their queries. The dedicated Helpdesk service to registered community organisations is c&vsupports@drcd.gov.ie

Reminder: St Patirck’s Day     
No school on Monday 16th March or on Tuesday 17th March for St. Patrick’s Day.

Final swimming lessons for Ms Williams 2nd and Miss Glendon’s 3rd Classes tomorrow. Please ensure your child has their swimming gear with them. Many thanks.
Swimming lessons will commence for Ms Hasset’s 2nd Class and Ms Cluxton 2nd Classes on Friday next 13th March

Photographs The Photographer will be visiting the school on Tuesday and Thursday 10th & 12th March. Please complete and return forms to class teacher if you wish to have photographs taken.

SCHOOL CLOSURE - REMINDER
 
The school will be CLOSED FOR THE CHILDREN on WEDNESDAY 25TH MARCH SCHOOL to facilitate training for teachers  
There will be a further 1 day school closure for the children in the last school term.

Seachtain na Gaeilge Beidh Seachtain na Gaeilge ag tarlúint sa scoil an tseachtain seo chugainn (9 – 13 ú Lá Márta). Beidh damhsa, ceol traidisiúnta, cluichí le Club Óige agus craic againn gach lá.

Beidh ‘Lá Glas’ againn ar an Chéadaoin agus caithfidh gach páiste éadaí glasa a chaitheamh .Bain taitneamh as agus labhair Gaeilge le do thoil!

Seachtain na Gaeilge will take place next week (9th  - 13th March). We will have dancing, traditional music, games le Club Óige and fun every day. We will have a ‘Green Day’ on the Wednesday and children are encouraged to wear something green to celebrate. Enjoy it and speak Irish please!
