I was speaking to the children at assembly yesterday about the importance of following the school rules, not only during the school day but also using some of them while at home, in clubs or associations they may be members of, and while conducting themselves in their everyday lives.

These are good mottos to live their lives by and it would be great if they were incorporated into their home life also.

They are as follows:
  • Be on time and be prepared
  • Be fair, be friendly
  • Talk in the right way at the right time
  • Kind hands, kind feet, kind words.
  • Always do your best

Chickenpox
We currently have chickenpox in the school. This virus is highly contagious and if you suspect your child has it please keep them at home.  Full information on the virus is available on the Health Service Executive Website

LIPSYNC CHALLENGE

4/3/2019

4th March 2019

Dear parents/guardians

March 9th is almost upon us! The Lipsync Teams are dusting down the wigs and gearing up to take the stage by storm on Saturday night and need your support!!  The organisers are working round the clock to make sure the night is full of fun, entertaining and the whole community is behind us!

Have you got your tickets yet???

Lipsync is the only fundraiser we hope to run in order to achieve our goal of installing our astro turf pitch. This astro turf pitch will be of huge benefit to all our children, doubling the play area at break times and providing superior facilities for after school sports and activities.

I beg of you to support this initiative by attending the Lipsync Battle on Saturday night (2 tickets for €50). If you are unable to attend, I ask that each family buys at least 1 ticket to support the cause.

The tickets will be on sale outside the school from 1.30pm – 2.45pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday or you can send in money with your child.

Your children will also have the opportunity to contribute by voting for their favourite team using €1/€2 coins.  Buckets displaying each team will be available for donations, around the school on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday also.

Your support is much appreciated
Many thanks
