Mid-Term Break – School Closed
The School will be closed for mid-term break for a week from Monday 20th February to Friday 24th inclusive for mid-term break.
***NB - IN-SERVICE DAY – SCHOOL CLOSED MONDAY 27TH FEBRUARY 2017 following the mid-term break. This day is a compulsory closure for the pupils only as directed by the Department of Education. All staff will be working on that day to facilitate training for teachers in the new Primary Language Curriculum.
Safety: Children on school grounds early mornings: Please note that it is not safe for your child to be on the school grounds before 8.35 am. They are not supervised by an adult and they are not insured to be on the school grounds before this time. Please ensure your child/children are not on the school premises before 8.35am any morning. Thank you.
Operation Transformation 10 at 10: Operation Transformation on RTE 1 is asking all primary schools in the country to get active for ten minutes, at 10am tomorrw morning Friday 10th February. Please ensure your child wears their tracksuit to school tomorrow.
Junior Infant Enrolments for 2017 Reminder that the closing date for acceptance of a place in Junior Infants is 17th February.
Parents Association - Fundraising for school – Fun Table Quiz final reminder the last day to purchase raffle tickets for the school hamper is tomorrow Friday 10th between 9am and 9.30am. The draw will then take place and the winner of the hamper will be announced… please see full details overleaf..
Junior Infants
Parent teacher meetings will be held next Wednesday February 15th and Thursday February16th. Class teachers will be in contact with allotted time.
Junior infant Classes will receive their, 4 in 1, and their MMR vaccinations next Monday 13th February and Tuesday 14th February. Please return your child’s consent form to their teacher asap. Any children for whom we do not receive a consent form, will not avail of immunisation.

Peace Proms Choir: Well done to all the children who participated in the Peace Proms Choir on Saturday last. Everyone worked very hard to make it a success a very enjoyable night was had by all. Thank you for your support.
Scoil na Naomh Uilig Table Quiz
Scoil Na Naomh Uilig's Parents Association have organised a fun quiz night on Friday 10th of February at 8.00pm in Sarsfields GAA club.
€40 for a table of four or €10 per person
Table Quiz booking forms were sent home with school children on Monday. Please complete and return to the school asap. Tickets are also available at the office of Scoil Na Naomh Uilig until Friday the 10th of February between 9am – 9.30am. Tickets will also be available at the door.
All monies raised will go towards funding electronic equipment for the school.
Raffle tickets will be available on the night to win a number of prizes.
If anyone has unwanted gifts they would like to donate they can be brought to the school for collection by the Parents Association
