Dear Parents/Guardians

REMINDER

*SCHOOL CLOSED TOMORROW FRIDAY 17TH   JANUARY 2019*IN-SERVICE DAY. Please note that the school has been directed by the Department of Education to hold a Compulsory In-Service day to facilitate training for teachers in the new Primary Language Curriculum. The school will be CLOSED tomorrow Friday 18th JANUARY.

GREAT NEWS!!  The school has been awarded a grant from the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport, in the amount of €107,800, to part-fund the installation of a new all-weather pitch! The application process was demanding and required a lot of time and effort on behalf of school staff – so well done to everyone on all their efforts.  This was our second attempt to secure the funding and we are delighted to be successful.
This funding will take us just over half way towards the total cost of the installation of the pitch and we are hoping to raise the remainder through our Lip Sync event on March 9th!
Now that we have the all-weather pitch in our sights it gives us even more enthusiasm to really drive on the preparations for our fundraiser. We have had a positive response from staff and parents, however we still need quite a number of parents to put themselves forward to achieve our target. We really need your help now!!!
