November 8th - 15th This week the children worked diligently at home to complete Science Week Projects. In 4th class we decided that the project could be: -An experiment of their choosing -A research project on a famous scientist -A research project on a science topic The photos below show that everyone worked extremely hard. Our Stars of the Week for October were Kian, Keila, Kate & Peadar.
These girls and boys participated fully in class, showed gratitude towards both teachers and students and worked so diligently in all subjects. Well done everyone! Although we couldn't do our yearly Witches' Walk, the boys and girls in the Sycamores had a "Spooktacular Halloween" We practiced our Gaeilge agus bhí Seo Faisean againn ar maidin Féach orainn! 👻👻 We designed and painted our very own masks for Halloween. We're a very talented bunch. We took inspiration from WWE wrestlers, superheroes, horror films and also Sugar Skulls. Can you guess the faces behind the masks? To practice our Procedural Writing, the Sycamores have spent a long week coming up with their own yard games. Between us in our pods we designed games which are so much fun, we have played them in PE as warm ups and on yard ourselves.
Read below to see how to play the various games. It was very difficult to choose only 4 Stars of the Week for September. Everyone has settled in so well once again.
Well done to Emily, Nikita, Josh and Mya who were Stars of the Week this month. Keep up the amazing work everyone! Hi everyone,
Welcome to 4th class. By this stage we are nearly finished our first full week back at school! All of the children have settled well into school after our extended break. Well done everyone. 😊 Things are a bit different this year, as you have already noticed. We are alternating between uniform and tracksuit daily this year, but please ensure that everyone is in their tracksuit on Friday as we have PE. Also, to save space this year, the children only have 5 copies in rotation. I have sent the others home earlier last wee, they can be saved and used maybe later in the year or next year for 5th. Please ensure the children have raincoats, especially if it is forecast to drizzle during the day, as the children will be going out for yard as much as possible. It's great to see everyone back and excited for the year ahead! Looking forward to a great year 😎 Ms Scanlon Congratulations to all of the Sycamores for completing Third Class. You should be extremely proud of yourselves for working really hard and accomplishing tasks both in school and at home this year.
I have really enjoyed getting to know you all and creating fantastic memories as a class. I hope you all have a lovely summer and enjoy the well deserved break! 🥳🌞 Stay safe, Ms. Glendon 😊 This week in Art we used fruit and vegetables to create our fantastic paintings through the technique of printing. Check out our amazing designs and thanks to our wonderful parents for helping us with our creations.
