Homework starts this week. We need to practise our new sound 's' and try to name some words that start with the 's' sound. We should try to remember to practise the action (wriggling our arm like a snake) when we say the sound. If we want to try something different, the website www.starfall.com has a short activity where we can look at words that have the 's' sound. We should also try to sing the 's' jolly song if we have time.
The words to the song are:
'The snake is in the grass
The snake is in the grass
Sssss. Sssss.
The snake is in the grass.'
We have shared reading books as well. A grown up should read this to us and we should chat about the story and the pictures. When we have finished our homework a grown up should sign our homework sheet.
