We made lots of yummy Halloween treats in class today. We made Witches' Hats using ice cream cones and melted chocolate, marshallow ghosts and pumpkins and lollipop ghosts.
Today was our school's annual Witch Walk. We all dressed up and looked very spooky!
We had lots of fun carving a pumpkin for our classroom today. First Ms. Corbally cut the top of the pumpkin off and then we all helped to clean out the inside. It was slimy and sticky!! After that Ms. Corbally carved the face. Happy Hallowe'en!
We got very exciting post today!
We watch news2day every day while we eat our lunches and we love seeing what is happening around the world. In September, news2day did a feature on Roald Dahl's 100th birthday and asked viewers to email and tell them about their favourite Roald Dahl book. Ms. Corbally had just finished reading "The Enormous Crocodile" to us and we really enjoyed it. We emailed news2day to tell them and they sent us out goodies! They arrived in the post today! How exciting!!
It's getting close to Halloween so Ms. Corbally has been busy decorating the doors of our classroom! We were very excited to see how they turned out!!
This week in maths we are learning about data and how to show information on a pictogram. We made a 3D pictogram of the fruit our c.lass brought in for lunch this week. It was really interesting and fun to see how you can get information from a pictogram. Can you tell which fruit is the most popular in our class?
