Hi everyone!

I hope everyone had a relaxing long weekend and is enjoying the beautiful sunshine. I miss you all so much and I am really enjoying getting updates of what each of you are up to at home. You are all making great use of this time off school by learning new and independent skills as well as making memories with your families, which is fantastic! I know it's very disappointing that we won't get to go back to our classroom again before September but the main priority at the moment is that everyone stays safe and that is the most important thing. As much as you can, try to keep up with a bit of school work during the week, as well as your fun activities.  Make sure to let me know if you are finding anything difficult. I have uploaded some Go Noodle activities that you might remember as well as some new ones that I thought you might enjoy.

I would love to hear more each week about how you are getting on and if you have any news for me, so make sure to keep me updated! I really miss doing our check-in circles and hearing everyone's news during the week and after each weekend. I also miss reading with our reading buddies - I hope all of you are doing lots of reading at home! Let me know what books you are reading at the moment. No doubt some of you are continuing to read Harry Potter!! :) This poem by Julia Donaldson perfectly sums up the feeling of getting lost in a good book.

Take care,

Ms Hassett

Go Noodle
Try out some of these new Go Noodle activities. Some of them are new and some you might remember.
Let's see what our class are up to!
STEM Challenge - Rebecca
Rebecca really enjoyed the 'tinfoil boat challenge' in the activities this week. She designed her boat very carefully and it ended up holding 32 coins! She also did a great job with her maths activity, and organised items the items she found that weighed more and less than 1kg. Super work Rebecca! :)

Hello from Milly and Molly!
Milly and Molly are really missing all of their friends from school and wanted to say hello! They are staying busy at home with their work and are doing lots of other activities too. They have also had a go at making their own pizza! Yum! The girls have been making the most of the good weather too and have been going on lots of walks with their dog Jack to keep active. We all miss you to girls, keep us updated! :)

Hello from Noah!
Noah wants to say hello to all his friends in the Daisies and let them know that he misses them alot. He is having lots of fun in the sun at home with his family and has been enjoying making a splash in the new swimming pool. Check out his cool new hairdo!!! Noah is also helping out at home alot and has been cleaning his room and playroom, helping to make lunch for his family and has even learned how to change his own bed. Some great skills being learned at home! He is enjoying going for walks and found some lucky shamrocks while out exploring. Noah and his family made a beautiful picture of all of their handprints to remember Covid '19 and the time that they spent in lockdown. It's a lovely idea to create something you can all look back on in years to come.

Happy Birthday Gabriella!
Gabriella celebrated her birthday at home last week with her family, and even though she missed having all her friends and family there, she had a lovely day. She wanted to say hi to all her friends in the Daisies and she is keeping busy at home doing her work and other activities with her sister Sarah.

I hope you enjoyed your birthday Gabriella and I'm sure you will have a big party when this is all over! Thanks for keeping us updated, we would love to hear more about all the fun things you are doing at home! :)

Sweta's secret library
Sweta has had a great idea of creating a cosy reading space for herself and teddies. She converted her tent into a library and chose her favourite books to keep inside. Who else has made a reading den for themselves?
