Today we had the Scoil na Naomh Uilig annual Witches' Walk on the school grounds. What a scary day we had! Even Mr Morrissey got into the spirit of things coming in to school as a skeleton! Check out some of our photographs.....
This month we've been learning about the famous Kildare bare-knuckle boxer Dan Donnelly and the life he led in the late 1700s/early 1800s. We learned about the Ireland of then and took a trip out to the Curragh to view Donnelly's Hollow and the Curragh Cemetery to examine for ourselves the site of Donnelly's most famous fight against George Cooper. All of this week we have been learning about bullying and the devastating impact it can have on children and adults. We brainstormed ways to make our school a 'bully-free zone' and wore our Learning To Live Together wristbands all week to mark the importance of having a happy school environment for everybody. Today we signed our anti-bullying pledge!
