We recently took part in the HOPE Shoe Box Appeal. We had a huge response, collecting 199 boxes which were loaded up into the van and taken to be distributed to families in poverty. Thank you to everyone involved in collecting, donating and organising the event.
The staff and parents of Scoil Na Naomh Uilig are organising a Lip Sync Battle on March 9th 2019 in the Kilashee Hotel.
Our aim is to raise funds to put towards developing the school grounds which will allow us to expand our playing surface for the children.
We are looking for volunteers to take part in the show. No singing is required and training will be provided. If you would like to get involved, sponsor an act or have your company appear in the event brochure then please get in touch with us at email@example.com
We held a special assembly today in recognition of the many sporting achievements that happened throughout the year. We had success again this year in the Camogie Finals of the Cumann Na mBunscoil competitions held in Moorefields GAA.
We also ran a Junior and Senior inter-school league with the finals being played last Friday is fantastic sunshine.
Well Done to everyone involved, to those who won and more importantly to those who took part.
Take a look at the pictures below.

The staff of Scoil Na Naomh Uilig kindly donated items for the Christmas Hampers. This year there were 8 hampers won by students. The hampers were all full of wonderful treats and various food items.
Well done to all our winners:
Ms. O Sullivan has been teaching in our school for 9 years. This was her last assembly as she is moving back to her native Cork this summer. Pupils who Ms. O Sullivan had taught and worked with over the years performed a variety of songs and poems for her. We are really going to miss her around our school but wish her the very best for the future.
Today in assembly we had a very special guest. Duchess called to see us. She is an Autism assist dog and belongs to Kelly who is in the Poppies. We were told all about how Duchess helps Kelly when she is out for a walk or down the town doing the shopping with mammy.
We are holding a civvies day this Friday in order to raise some much needed funds for these dogs. It costs a staggering €38,000 to raise and train one of these dogs.
Below is a picture of Kelly with her mam and Duchess.
There were plenty of treats to choose from at this year's Easter Cake Sale. There wasn't a crumb left by the end!
