Slán Mrs. Laffan
Today was our last Assembly of the term but it also marked Mrs. Laffan's last day working with us. Mrs. Laffan has been working in Scoil Na Naomh Uilig for the last 8 years. She was presented with a book containing contributions from every class in the school. We will miss her hugely around here, however, our school's loss is another school's gain and we wish her the very best for the future.

To commemorate the centenary of the 1916 Rising and to celebrate 100 years since the Proclamation of the Irish Republic we raised our National Flag during a special ceremony. In our hall, Sixth Class put on a great performance, telling the events which lead to the rising and it's aftermath. All the staff and pupils of the school, along with some parents, gathered outside where our B.O.M. Chairperson Séamus Mulloly raised the flag while we sang Amhrán Na bhFiann. Take a look below at some of the photos of the day! Stage Academy came to our school yesterday and performed an excellent play about the 1916 Rising. We all really enjoyed it. We loved the acting, singing and violin playing throughout the play. Well done!
